What a shame that the County of Riverside is displacing us after 17 years for the sake of one butterfly exhibit during the Riverside County Fair in February? Forcing us to move is denying hundreds of kids the chance to create art about the environment and learn recycling for our planet EVERY DAY OF THE YEAR. We're looking for a new home if anyone has ideas or space! Thank you! http://www.desertsun.com/…/04/scrap-gallery-new-h…/29726149/

A special thank you to all the community leaders who visited the S.C.R.A.P. Gallery last week and showed that they value education and environmental conservation amongst our valley youth. Thank you to: City of Indio Council Member Troy Strange and his family, Miguel Vazquez and Daisy Ramirez of Riverside County Public Health who all shared their time with us. You can help by donating, sharing this post, or contacting us.

"After bringing purpose to an abandoned hangar in Indio for the past 18 years, adjacent to the Riverside County Fair Grounds, the S.C.R.A.P. Gallery (Student Creative Recycled Art Project) has been handed its walking papers. The organization must now secure a replacement facility suitable for its expansive exhibits that engage and involve hundreds of local kids and families..."
